Posted by Climber Faith is so individual I can not believe that this board exists. I couldn't resist looking as I saw it on the list of boardhost boards. As many wars have been started in the name of Christianity as any other religion. Pegans were slaughtered and their customs adopted by the Christians ie. the date we celebrate Christmas is very close to the winter solstice, the Christmas tree, easter bunny etc. This does not diminish the religion or the faith that people hold. I know people of several faiths and the meanest and least interested in the true well being of man seem to be the Christians I know. When I had an emergency c-section only our Muslim frien offered to help us, none of our Christian friends. When I lost my first child there were no Christians to be found to offer words of comfort, only criticisms, just what someone who has just lost a child need right? I have Muslim, Christian, Hindu and Wicca friends (close friends) it is amazing how much we all have in common in the end. Peopple are people and their religion is only one aspect of most people. If you are Christian then surely these lyrics should be familiar:

I do not think you understand the life of the Prophet, he had to run for his life. His wife had a relative who was Christian which they asked how to deal with persecution. The only war he was involved in that I can recall was the one where he was protecting women and children of his village where he had gone after leaving his first home. Money was god in his first home and when he got the message from God (on a mtn. just like so many Christian prophets) he knew that what was going on was wrong.
"This is my comandment
That ye love one another
That your joy may be full."
