anybody know how 2 barrel race? I NEED HELP!!!

i bought an arabian mare named annie. she was really sweet in the beginning, but as time passed she got a little stubborn. now she is almost uncontrollable! i asked a trainer, and he said that since annie was trained to barrel race all her life, that is all she wants to do, so to make her happy i have to run the barrels with her a few times a month.prblem is... I DONT KNOW HOW!!! any tips...?
