Posted by Henry When you post a message on a bulletin board, there is no way to know when a particular intended person will see it. It may be missed altogether if it isn't in a thread very close to the top of the page. It's very easy to send an email directly to a classmate whose message you're responding to (dang participle!). If that classmates name at the top of the message that you're reading is underlined, then all you have to do in order to start a message is click on that name/link. It's great to follow the dialogues between people that we know; that's what bulletin boards are about. I want to remind people, however, that sometimes if you want to get a message to one or two people that you don't think will really interest other people, a bulletin board isn't the most efficient way to send it.
