Posted by Henry Particularly in these uncertain times, its good to get together with the family, and beyond that, with the people from our hometown. It took a village (or two) to make us who we are today. Perhaps some of us are fortunate enough to have the same sense of community that we had when we were growing up; I'm sorry to say that I dont. Im not even sure what you call someone from Rockville. I do know that we were Ardsleyans and I remember.

I hope you change your mind about not attending the reunion. Sure, a lot of us feel out of touch. I know that I do. The regrets of those years are too numerous for many of us to mention. Even so, we spent a quarter of our lives, so far, together; it was the best of times and, yes, the worst of times. It was an exciting time for us and for the country in general. We watched the first American space flight on a black and white television in the Concord Road School's "Yankee Room." On a sunny November day a few years later, we heard that the president had been shot and killed. I know those years by the grade of school that we were in (and it's been especially easy to calculate for the class of '72.)
