I am considering purchasing the new versions of Boardmaker, or the Writing with Symbols program. (I have used an older version of Boardmaker but not the newest one). The Writing with Symbols
gives instant symbols after typing in a word. The Boardmaker program has more steps involved to get a symbol and takes longer overall to make several
symbols. Does anyone know if the Writing with Symbols program can do everything Boardmaker can do (overlays, schedules, etc) plus some. Or does it have limitations that Boardmaker doesn't have? Basically is Writing with Symbols just as good for AAC but faster than Boardmaker? I work with preschool age children who don't read, but want something that is fast.
