Posted by mia on 3/3/2002, 7:47 pm As far as WIN or MAC, I think the MAC version is much easier to use and will certainly meet your needs. Another suggestion--get News-2-You for your class. It's a weekly online newspaper that uses Boardmaker symbols. Really wonderful. My students love it, and it becomes the basis for related lessons that I create with Boardmaker. Well worth the price!
Here's another WHOLEHEARTED vote for getting Boardmaker. It is the most powerful, versatile tool ever!!!! And, yes, I agree with GAC that you definitely need the addendums. Boardmaker has just come down in price and the addendums, including the latest, are packaged together now. The addendums have SO much vocab that would pertain to secondary curric (primary curric too). I also recommend any of the products that MJ puts out--science, math, community related stuff that is all great.
