Posted by Nancy The Mini-Auggie uses the Dell X30 PDA, has a really great (loud) speaker case, and has their own flavor of communication software for ONLY $799!!! Compare that to the ChatPCII at $2,195. They also offer the Auggie, a small tablet sized Windows XP device with a 8.4" finger touch screen for $1995 that can run Speaking Dynamically Pro and the Super-Auggie that is also a Windows XP machine with a 12.1" diagonal finger touch screen priced at $2995 that can also run SDP. I have had 4 years experience in programming my daughter's ChatPCI/ChatPCII and am a volunteer beta tester for the Mini-Auggie. I find it just as capable as the ChatPC plus it has a few wonderfully unique features: A cause and effect feature that helps train the new user to become familiar with and how to use an AAC device, and the ability to program a cell selection to play either MP3's or full screen WMV videos (good for rewarding good work or entertainment. They are a much lower price alternative. Please take a good look at them.

Please have a look at RJ Cooper at: http://www.rjcooper.com/. Look at his new Auggie series at: http://www.rjcooper.com/auggie/index.html, where you will find three dynamic display AAC devices.
