Often the topic in “news 2 you” has an internet site connected to the topic. Such as the elephant sanctuary earlier this fall- we went on the internet site listed in the news 2 you and viewed the sanctuary and elephants. This then led into us studying about elephants. Or with some students I may ask them how we could find out more about the topic- they then provide words to put into a google search or into our media center's online catalog.
I do not use this paper with students that cannot sustain joint attention.
