We just received a small grant for tech as well and we ordered The Deciders (90.00 each) from Super Duper-free shipping. I like them because they teach basic concepts, have assessment tools, and improve auditory processing. I use them with my kindergarten children and they absolutely love them!! I also like Earobics for all of the wonderful ways it is effective (300.00 each also Super Duper). Something else that's good is something called Story Time -I think about animals and time/place books. The books are actually read to the students and then they have to answer predictions and questions-it's great. I think it is an Edmark program. If you are going to purchase technology make sure you get a set of headphones from Super Duper (60.00) that way you can have one student on the computer working on his/her objectives and monitor and you can also work with other students in a group. I see 4 students at a time and this has been great!! They are getting what they really need and the noise from the computer is not distracting the others. It makes a great reward too!!
