Scamp sailors. I just wanted you to know one of your old shipmates Paul Conway is in a bad way. Paul served on the Scamp in the late 80's (not sure of the years), and was a key player in the Scamp's rescue of the Balsa off the coast of NewFoundland in 1988. Paul was the ships diver, and went into the water numerous times risking his own life in an attempt to save the lives of others. Just read the article on this website! Paul is suffering from brain cancer and things are not looking good for him at this point. Paul lives in Pembroke, Ma., and contact can be made with him at conwayr@directpc.com.
