Posted by Ron Charest Yes, I knew your dad, but only for a brief while. I came aboard in Nov 1974, I think he left Scamp in the summer or early winter of 1975? I remember meeting up with him again in the winter of 1976. I was sent TAD from Scamp while she was on WestPac, to spend six weeks in schools in Pearl Harbor. I ran in to him there and we had a few barracks parties together then. Ask your dad if he remembers an ET3 with the name "Radar." (real name Ron Charest).
