service errors first set, but on a great end of 1st set service run by Torwie, tied it up only to get eked out 26-24, a bad set by Knipe
similar 2nd set, behind, caught up, had a set point, again some crucial errors, a bad pass by Briggs, and 27-25
just kept fighting. Godbold just didn't have it, especially from the service line, and Harlan came in, a match for the ages,
down 8-11, we caught up again, then a timed block on Hickman from GCU. the guy vs. Ohio State was constantly pointing across the net vs OSU. tonight he didn't take too well to Harlan's solo block and some words. taht sequence to get that lead and the crowd was finally all in.
GCU is so quick, if you don't get a transition kill when you get the chance, they just pounce, and seemed like we could never make that clutch play
team kept grinding, Knipe had some poor passes 1st two sets, he settled down more. Siapanis struggled some early, but was a rock the last 3 sets and kept getting stronger. & Torwie with some great blocks, both sides showed some superb blocking, GCU's middles are so quick off the feet
just another great win for the program, and this group has backed up the BWCT final win with a huge confidence boost. GCU was receiving better than UCLA was, UCLA got a break when UCI's solid backrow OH2 went down, and UCI still gave UCLA a match.
Speraw is still experimenting with that team even all the way to the finals. who know which players he'll put out a libero, OH, and OPP, although Ido David looked a lot better than he had all season
gonna be a war. Nothing better than #1 vs. #2 and another Bruin-Beach battle. no love lost.
crazy loud, plus some protesters at the Pyramid.
Sat will be fun
