the physical/emotional challenge is massive, more than massive.
Last week, Arizona lost, they are motivated by that, by losing to PRinceton last, year, and they are RESTED
last week Beach rode emotional adrenaline. My guess is they may not have recovered physically until at least Tuesday. Those 3 days are a violent physical effort, draining, unbelievable draining something they had not experienced all year. They did come back from the 3 day Florida trip, flew up to Montana on short turn-around, and made a last ditch comeback in that game.
Since it's been a lot of 'noise' for Beach, as KNipe says, avoid the noise, not sure that was possible.
So pretty much expecting the team to re-focus, be totally physically read, AND play at altitude.
not same as last year, had that emotionally draining 2OT at Davis, then horrendous fast turn-around to the BWCT, and we know what happened. foreseeable.
as a better, I'd give up 25 points on this one, thinking with my head.
what Beach has going for us. A very solid 5, core. LT, AT, AJ, Jones, Tsohonis are P5 capable type of team. These are mature men collectively now. what will happen though about 5 minutes into the 2nd half?, assumming Beach can lead or hang around then. from the 15 minute mark to 10 minute mark in the 2nd half is where this game will turn, if Beach is within single digits.
can Messiah, Stroud, Hart, Silva somehow a couple of them give 8-10 minutes of unexpected plays? Messiah and Stroud have had some excellent games.
