actually we are #4 in conference, 0.316.
true our own 3 pt shooting is bad, but the fact we defend 3s fairly well given our SOS is a good sign
FTs, for some reason our opponents don't shoot FTs well, lol, so our FT defense is good, may go to who we are fouling (likely bigs vs. smalls), an interesting stat. still doesn't excuse FT shooting and our bigs did go 8 for 9 in the last game, granted they need to repeat. we shoot 69% vs. 66% for opponents still need to get to 75% as a goal
the really good stat, we are middle pack Assist to TO 1.0, and by far the best in turnover margin @ 2.4 vs. 1.9 for UCSD
rebounding margin, still too low @ +1.8 which isn't bad, but if our defense is solid, then it should be better for picking up defense rebounds. Irvine, NOrth are over +10. granted playing a lot of 1-3-1 makes rebounding at times tough, especially with Stroud all the way out at the top of the key
sealing out for boards combined with the turnovers is the formula for maximizing possessions, especially with our pace, playing fast is fine so long as not just trading 2s for 3s, where we get into trouble.
Fullerton is towards the bottom in rebounding and turnover margin, so that match-up I think is good.
Northridge on the other hand is interesting, it will be a bit like looking in the mirror, they board and play quick and like to go up and down, so in a way can't get caught up in taking bad jack up shots in that game - have to have a little patience
