You're right crips/bloods nowhere near as powerful. South Central being takin over by East Los. It's hilarious to see Linsay Lohan or DJ whoever throwing up a crip sign in pictures taken from inside the most expensive/esquisite restaurant or nightclub in Hollywood. That has got to be embarrassing to the crips as selling out, being soft and commercially glamorized.
If you think about it, it must be very difficult to recruit for the crips these days. What's the ringleader going to do hold up a picture and say "check this out youngster we got "Screetch" from "Saved By The Bell" backin us.
