If the city is in dire straights from a budget standpoint, is it really necessary to have street sweeping on a weekly basis? I understand the reasons behind street sweeping, etc., but when a street sweeper is often accompanied by 2-3 parking enforcement vehicles handing out tickets. Seems like a fuel and manpower being used on a weekly basis. Why not cut it back to bi-weekly or monthly?
