Hank: I voted NO on Measure T. Various governmental entities already have TOO much of our hard earned money and they've got to spend it more wisely and provide superior value to even demonstrate that they deserve what they're currently confiscating from us.
On the state withholding increase, I defeated it by changing my allowances on my withholding documents. Everyone else can too. Simply project your state tax liability for 2009, compare what you've had withheld so far, divide it by the number of pay peruods remaining, and select the withholding allowances within your filing status and income level which yields that amount.
The state's scheme is simply an interest free loan for an irresponsible entity and anyone who falls victim to it is a sucker!
