Plater has a lot of speed and that can be a defensive strength. If he can shoot lights out and play average defense he should be on the court because zone busting mid majors do well.

: I liked Plater's confidence at Saturday's
: scrimmage. He was confident before but now
: he is really looking for the shot. A
: potential go-to guy especially if a
: 3-pointer is needed???

: When he is hot he is hot and the team needs
: to
: go with him. Hopefully between him and
: Steph the team can have a hot shooter on the
: floor the majority of the time.

: Yeah, but the BWC is not a BCS conference.
: We
: can dance with him. He was one of DM's
: first recruits and at the beginning of the
: rebuilding process. Plater will do OK in
: conference. If he doesn't improve
: defensively, there are others that can take
: his spot. It is all up to Plater.

: I still beleive Gleg Plater doesn't have the
: size to "run" with the "big
: boys (BCS schools). A true
: "two-guard"(shooting guard) should
: be at least 6"3' 200 pounds. He is a
: HUGE liability on defense. Remember folks,
: defense wins championships. There is a
: reason why no one wanted him coming out of
: high school.
:
: Another point, I spoke with Eric Brown and
: he told me Tristan Wilson is healing
: quickly. If we get him back before league
: play, we will win the conference easily.
: Eric told me he is very explosive.
:
: Another point, non-conference schedule: I
: really believe we could beat Notre Dame.
: Luke Harangody is the only "good"
: player they have. Fleming needs to handle
: him.
:
: Looking forward to the season!!
