Went to MBB practice this morning. Starts at 7am. Geez, it's tough getting up that early.
Nonpersonnel observations: They have 2 new pieces of equipment. One is a computer program called NOAH that views a shooter, computes his height and gives a recommended degree of arch to his shot. 44% seemed to be the recommended for Phelps and Plater. It talks to you and tells you what % each shot was and you can print out shots and archive shots, etc. This is for both free throws and FGs. My explanation is probably not doing it justice. The other has to do with the backboards.
Picture the backboard and the rubber around the edges. Well inboard of that behind the glass is a neon light that turns on a red light for the entire edge of the rectangle of the backboard when a period is ended or if the shotclock expires. It is really neat.
Also, on top of the backboard there used to be a single shotclock that faced the court. Now there is a triangular clock that shows the time in three different directions.
Personnel observations: Wilson is walking around carrying his cructhes and not using them. Montgomery is around doing exercises. Nevens still apparently not cleared to play.
Some Fullerton fan I know called me last night and said that he had heard that one of our verbals had decommitted. Talked to one of the coaches and pooh-poohed that comment.
