If we can sign him fine. But most really talented Players don't want to sit for 2 years. But they might be more willing to sit one year.
I would make signing a top frosh PG a high priorty for the Class of 2011.

:
: I would disagree, Monson wants a PG who can
: back up Ware and eventually start, ideally
: you get a kid who backs up Ware for two
: seasons and then takes over as a Junior. If
: we can get KW, he is a stud and combined

: Agree 100%. The guy seems a bit flakey and
: would likely not get that much playing time
: until after Casper Ware graduates. If he

: another school where the competition for
: point guard is not as strong.
:
: I think our current depth, especially with

: I agree with you. The links raise what I
: perceive to be some true concerns about his
: focus and work ethic. Sure, he IS young, but
: that combined with his decommitting with
: UCLA definitely turns on the flashing yellow
: lights in my mind where this young man is

: This makes perfect sense if you think about
: it
: on several levels.
:
: 1. He de-committed from UCLA which is a top
: 10-20 program. If he was good enough to
: land a ride to the 'Ruins any other major D1
: school with a PG need would be highly
: interested.
:
: 2. If he has a visit to Penn scheduled (Ivy
: League) than he's obviously NOT thinking
: about any sort of hoop career once college
: is over, NO one is going to argue that a
: degree from an Ivy league school is worth
: LESS than a degree from The Beach.
:
: 3. We already have a PG (Ware) that he'd
: have to beat out for PT. Ware would be a 2
: yr starter (and a Junior) when Wilson would
: be a Fr. Ware would beat him out, which
: would leave Wilson as a backup for 1-2
: years? Why do that when another school in a
: major conference has an immediate need?
:
: Let him go and find his happiness, I think
: our efforts are better spent on other
: prospects

: Talked to Frank B. at the scrimmage last
: Saturday and he said that KW was visiting
: Marquette that weekend and that KW had
: visits scheduled to Baylor and Penn (he is a
: good student).
:
: He also said that he thought if any of the
: three offered that KW would take it as KW
: thinks we are beneath him.
