This makes perfect sense if you think about it on several levels.
1. He de-committed from UCLA which is a top 10-20 program. If he was good enough to land a ride to the 'Ruins any other major D1 school with a PG need would be highly interested.
2. If he has a visit to Penn scheduled (Ivy League) than he's obviously NOT thinking about any sort of hoop career once college is over, NO one is going to argue that a degree from an Ivy league school is worth LESS than a degree from The Beach.
3. We already have a PG (Ware) that he'd have to beat out for PT. Ware would be a 2 yr starter (and a Junior) when Wilson would be a Fr. Ware would beat him out, which would leave Wilson as a backup for 1-2 years? Why do that when another school in a major conference has an immediate need?
Let him go and find his happiness, I think our efforts are better spent on other prospects
