About 15-17 fans for the hour I was there. Dan came up and jokingly asked "don't you people have anything better to do? Aren't the Angels on TV?" and got some chuckles.
During the first drill (2 on 3 moving the ball up and down the court) they looked pretty bad. After about 3 minutes Dan stopped 'em and told them how many turnovers they made in just 3 minutes, and said "its the first practice you don't have to try to impress me yet", then had them finish the drill without dribbling.
They did some fast paced shooting drills to instill some positive re-inforcement without defense; there were 6 stations of 2 or 3 guys each for 30 seconds or so, so tough to really watch everyone, but it looked like most of them were just over 50%. (NOTE: They have apparently purchased some shot analysis machine that figures if your arc is proper for your body size which is very rare and supposedly cutting edge technology).
Flemming is now HUGE, Vantrimpont is really thin, Chang looks like he will be a hard worker, didn't really watch much of Laz. These have got to be pretty damn good centers for the BW.
It is VERY, VERY early, so I would not make any analysis other than to say the staff is clearly in charge, and has very specific drills and things that they will work on in every practice and the practices will be very structured and intense!
