It shows that, after all of the money and notariaty, it comes down to being able to live the lifestyle that makes you happiest. There can be a real sense of career accomplishment when, at the end, you can build something of value from scratch and become the catalyst for future success. Coaching can be so much sweeter when you can focus entirely on your "here and now" without having to think about the next job or a future career path.
Dan has brought a renewed sense among the faithful that Long Beach State can again emerge as a basketball power. Just by looking at this board, and its growth over the past couple of years, you can tell all you need to know about growing interest and support for the program. That support is also bleeding over into other programs like WBB, WVB and even tennis.
Mike Jarvis is doing the same in Boca Raton, and, best of all, loves his job and his environment.
