While Chang is out it gives Fleming and Laz a chance to get some minutes and show how much they have improved. Laz has gained about 15 LBS according to the Roster. Both of them are supposed to be improved. Vantrimount might get a few minutes too.
The first two games are also against weaker competition. Alaska Anchorage and a rebuilding Pepperdine. But hopefully he won't have to miss more games than that.

: If he's eligible at some point, great, if not,
: give guys like Richardson a ton of minutes
: and let em develop.
:
: His loss for any games leaves us thin up
: front.

: A little concerned with this guy. Monson
: mentioned he get's a little frustrated when
: things don't go his way, which is ok from a
: competitive standpoint. Kicked off his team
: last year for fighting, playing in games he
: shouldn't...hopefully he just didn't know
: the rules, if he did he's showing some
: questionable decision making. Hope he
: understands what's at stake.

: I did not read one game. He said he'll miss
: the opener, but did not mention if the'll
: miss more games. If Chang played a 'few'
: games in China, then a few means more than
: one. The penalty could be long.

: He said 1 game suspension if I heard him
: correctly.

: OK, Fleming gets a start. But how many games
: does Chang have to miss?

: Monson stated at Century Club tonight that
: Lin
: Chang is out for the home opener on
: Homecoming because he played a few games in
: China during the summer.
:
: Essentially, we're starting the season with
: the same line-up from last season, minus the
: 4 graduated seniors.
