And recent legal troubles, making pornos in his home, etc etc etc.
And this says more about American society then it does Snoop. And what it says is emblematic that we have completely lost the moral compass in this country.
Snoop with his past can play and asked to be associated with a college community, but if a law abiding decent political conservative come to speak on campus - well by all means boycott, and protest because it means the devil has been give his due.
That is the sad thing.
This quote reminds me of this situation:
A certain gentleman inquired of a lady whether she would be willing to sleep with him for 50,000 pounds. After some hesitation, the lady replied that she supposed she would, in consideration of the magnitude of the offer. Then he asked whether she would sleep with him for twopence.
"Certainly not," she responded with indignation. "Just what kind of lady do you think I am?"
"Madam, I believe we have already established that," he remarked calmly. "Now we are just haggling over the price."
We are beginning to establish the price, not whether what the charecter of what we're doing is correct.
That's the sad part.
That being said, two tickets to a concert would be fine. But let's not jump into bed with everyone of dubious character because they have the ability to generate money.
PS: USC is perhaps the strangest campus I have ever been around in my life. I never felt threatened ever on campus or around LBSU. So all this talk is pointless and stupid and sad.
