Gotta agree with Keisser and the athletic dept. Keep the momentum going. Great call. Craig Hodges should be honored the year after. And for the purists, didn't Craig have better numbers than Bryon at LBSU? So if you retire Bryon, you retire Craig. Add to the fact he was a ten year NBA player (how many of Tark's guys played that long?) a three time NBA 3 point shooting contest winner and a near fourth losing out to Larry Bird. And he's a two time NBA champion and with Jibril playing here is more food for thought. Plus with his employment with the Lakers right up the FWY could only garner us more publicity/attention. Remember we are a mid major. I'm not saying lower our standards, I just personally think both are deserved and the timing is right.
With the Lin Chang thing I was thinking a Chinese New Year celebration to get the large Asian population involved would be a good idea. Contact all the local Chinese restaurants and have them participate with setting up booths with food/games etc. Chinese New Year falls on Jan 26th this year so maybe we could swing this on Sat. the 30th vs. UC Davis which has a decent Asian pop. UCI would be ideal, but we play them too early.
