I like our schedule, but truth be told last years schedule is not even comparable. BYU and Wisconsin were top 40 type teams, Syracuse a 15 to 20. We are now staring at 3 or 4 teams that could end up in the Final Four. If between the Anaheim Classic and Notre Dame we beat two good teams and beat Utah State at home I would be elated. Because I've had about 10 beers, if we add a victory against any of the Texas, Duke and Kentucky games I'm moving back to Cali.

: When you play in a mid major conference,
: currently looking for respect, you have to
: play a tough non-conference schedule, not
: only for the exposure and pay day, but to
: attract the type of recruits that are needed
: to elevate the program. Without this type
: of schedule, the top 150 or so recruits will
: look for other options.
:
: This season's schedule will no doubt test
: the players both physically and emotionally,
: but they should come out stronger at the
: end. Last year's freshmen laden team
: started the season at a couple of hostile
: locations and the players were fine and
: performed very well. These players are
: tough and I expect the coaching staff to
: continue recruiting tough kids. Next year
: will be the year that LB really challenges
: the more established programs, I just hope
: the schedule is just as tough.
:
: Since this thread is also talking about the
: new players, a couple of players that are
: not usually mentioned could be the missing
: links. The team needs some quality options
: off the bench at two key positions, point
: guard and center. If Vantrimpont can
: develop and provide some shot blocking and
: tough rebounding, and if Woodard can play at
: a high level while giving a different look
: at the lead guard position, these two could
: be the role players that push the team over
: the top.

: Hello, the topic is about the schedule. The
: difficult schedule can go to two extremes.
: One, our players will be so emotionally
: affected by all the losses that we'll enter
: BW play with their questioning even their
: ability to play as a team. And there's the
: possiblity of injuries playing the big boys.
: Or, it makes us a better team emotionally
: and improves our player talent that we blow
: through our mediocre conference. I hope it's
: the latter.
