While a loss is a loss, playing Duke, Texas, and Kentucky on TV helps in a couple ways. One is that, when recruiting, we can tell recruits we are planning to play against the top teams in the country, where they can showcase their talents on a National scale. The second is, of course the possibility that we win a game or two. While unlikely, we have a talented squad who showed last season they can play well in tough venues. Further, the media generally likes Monson and the exposure on National TV means more recruits get a chance to find out about us. As noted above it helps pay the bills too. And lastly, if we win the BW and dance in March the kids are less likely to be overawed because they are playing a tough team in a bright spotlight.

: For it to be an rpi help, you gotta win one of
: these. Losing is losing, the computer
: doesn't give points for making it close.
:
: Fine line between strong schedule and over
: scheduling.

: Just a point.... too bad all on the road.
: PRobably very good for the budget though
: which given the morons in Sacramento is a
: very good idea this year!

: Awesome! Let's just hope we can make it a
: competitive game. If we even stay close, it
: could be a huge boost in our RPI rankings
: because we will have one of the toughest
: schedules in the NCAA.
